Unguja Lodge is situated at the Southern tip of Zanzibar, near Kizimkazi Mkunguni. It is a very quiet part of the island with pristine beaches and lush green surroundings. We love it and we protect it. We share the lodge with many indigenous animals: many different kinds of lizards, elephant shrew, bush babies, tree hyrax, red colobus monkeys and black tail monkeys. We not only care about the natural environment, but also about the social environment. Being part of the Kizimkazi community we employ as many staff as possible from the village and we support the village in their projects towards education, sports and health.
Highly recommended is a guided village walk with Rashid: you get to know the village and also support the social projects.
